Gaza Lots of Crops Garden

This new community garden, at 1643 3rd Street in North Richmond, is the first of a series of Lots of Crops gardens which will eventually transform vacant lots every six to ten blocks in North Richmond into healing spaces where people can grow their own food, medicine, and community.

This garden of ten 20x4 beds is cultivated by community members.  The medicine couch--logs planted with herb--is already functioning as a healing center where African American and Latino elders gather and share their wisdom in cultivating community.

You will find either Iyalode or Jimmie here to answer your questions.  They are also the hosts of the Peace Garden.
